Outside, in addition to the swimming pool and adjacent sunbathing area, facing the Minho River to the west, sheltered from the north wind, there is an orchard with several fruit trees, a games area - ping-pong, basketball hoop, football, badminton. A small heavily wooded area, the little grove, is where you can have meals, read, and relax on very hot days. There is a variety of outdoor furniture - sun loungers with mattresses, various types of chairs, several side tables and 3 dining tables; various pillows and bath towels.
To add to the nature there are its people and the cuisine of which they are so proud. But this space is essentially to describe our house. It is located in a paradisiacal place, on top of a small hill from where you can enjoy a memorable landscape with the hint of the mouth of the Minho, in the distance, and the imposing Monte de Santa Tecla.
In the foreground is the Minho River, boasting two treasures - the island of Amores and the island of Boega, which are almost touching. You can see the landscape in 360 degrees, with a view of the town, the bridge connecting it to Goian (Spain), and to the east a mountain range in front of the town, where a hill with an imposing deer stands out - the already famous sculpture by the artist José Rodrigues.
During the stay there is no sharing, because the house is completely offered for the group of guests to enjoy.

SPECIAL ATTENTION
11 - Pool and Jacuzzi
Swimming pools are especially dangerous for young children. A very high percentage of deaths among children between the ages of 0 and 3 are caused by drowning. It is recommended that an adult be assigned on a rotating basis to supervise children who are in the garden and therefore have immediate access to the pool. A small lack of attention can be fatal.
Be careful when using the steps. Children should be helped to descend the pool steps to avoid slipping.
Have a nice stay. Thank you and come back soon.
Portugal
The municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira was named for its unique natural beauty, which can be admired comprehensively at Monte da Encarnação, next to the “Cervo Rei”, a sculpture by Mestre José Rodrigues.
Nature is truly a constant presence: there are numerous viewpoints in privileged locations that are considered unique points from which one can observe Cerveira and its surroundings. The rivers and streams have created other areas of great natural beauty and wealth in Vila Nova de Cerveira. The riverside or riparian forests and also the marsh forests (willows and alders along the River Minho) present true niches for a complex association of plant species, capable of sheltering an important animal community, which uses it in a three-dimensional way as an ecological corridor, making the landscape of Vila Nova de Cerveira truly unique.
Set off to discover!
The Ecopista – Caminho do Rio is an experience of contrasts in the landscape that shows us a diverse reality and takes us through the memory of time to the relationship between Man and the River Minho, providing full enjoyment of a 'greenway' that crosses Vila Nova de Cerveira and connects this territory to the municipalities of Valença and Caminha (coming soon). The natural conditions underlying this route allow the presence of several species of birds such as the mallard, the heron, the cormorant and the kingfisher, mammals such as the otter and the marten, amphibians such as the green frog, the newt and the salamander and fish such as the boga, the scaly and the trout. It is because of its importance and natural diversity that the Caminho do Rio is part of the Natura 2000 Network and the Protection Zone for Aquatic Birds of the Minho River Estuary. The 'Caminho do Rio' Ecovia, in Vila Nova de Cerveira, covers approximately 13.5 km of full contact with the Minho River and the surrounding nature. The 1st phase, from Praia da Lenta to the Castelinho Leisure Park, provides a more humanized landscape, where evidence of Man's need to establish a close relationship with the river dominates, in the past for reasons of subsistence and territorial defense and in more recent times for the need to contemplate idyllic landscapes and communication between peoples. Examples of this are the river beach, the Friendship Bridge, the urban area of Vila Nova de Cerveira and the Castelinho Leisure Park. Near this park, it is possible to come into contact with one of the ancestral activities on the Minho River – fishing, observing a set of boats, some traditional, which are the last portrait of a practice that until the mid-20th century was developed along this riverbank route, with the fishing ports of Lenta, Linhares (downstream from the bridge), Choqueiro (VN Cerveira) and Mota, currently forming just part of a past heritage of local culture.
Along this route, we are surrounded by a mixed landscape between a land area, whose legacy is the result of agricultural activity, and a river area where vegetation along the banks is dominated by willow and alder, as well as landscape elements common throughout the Minho estuary, such as the islands of Boega and Amores. The 2nd Phase of the “Caminho do Rio” Ecovia is approximately 6.5 km long and makes use of existing trails or service paths for most of the route. As with the route of the 1st Phase, a uniformity of technical and functional solutions was adopted, with the aim of creating a route that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, without resorting to changes in the topography of the terrain or altering/destroying existing plant alignments.
These natural conditions allow the presence of several species of birds such as the mallard, heron, cormorant and kingfisher, mammals such as the otter and marten, amphibians such as the green frog, newt and salamander, and fish such as the boga, scaly and trout. It is due to its importance and natural diversity that the Caminho do Rio is part of the Natura 2000 Network and the Protection Zone for Aquatic Birds of the Minho River Estuary. Vila Nova de Cerveira, a territory with a rich and pristine history. With an occupation that dates back to the Bronze Age, its relevance was heightened with the granting of the Charter by D. Dinis, in the year 1321, and through which the Castle of Cerveira was ordered to be built, currently one of the main landmarks most visited by tourists who are enchanted by its architectural particularity and the beauty of the landscape that can be enjoyed from there. But Cerveira is also a 'Town of the Arts', an internationally recognized "nickname" resulting from its pioneering role in holding the International Art Biennials that began in 1978. The municipality then became the meeting point for artists from all over the world. The excellent cultural offer of Vila Nova de Cerveira Cerveira is today an unavoidable factor that distinguishes the Municipality and its people, surprising and providing a unique sensory experience to various age groups. The challenge and ambition of the Municipality is to continuously work to achieve the development of new cultural approaches, captivating new audiences and enhancing visibility beyond borders.
Move around
About 1000 meters away is the Village. It is called the Village of Arts. There are artistic and historical sites. But also practical things such as banks, restaurants, churches, the river and its charm, park, indoor swimming pool, supermarkets. There is a very famous weekly market (on Saturdays). Closer to the Casa dos Silêncios there is another supermarket.
